Taranaki Alpine Club was formed in 1930 and has been active
in the
promotion of mountain sports in Taranaki ever since.
Taranaki Alpine Club members "Home away from home" is the
Tahurangi Lodge - at a
height of 1520m above sea level.
The club meets on the first Thursday of each month
